The Confidence Canyon Adventure
The path ended at a wide canyon. A rope bridge stretched across. It wobbled. Just a little.
Teddy froze. “What if I mess up?”
Across the bridge waved a mountain goat named Piper. “I’ve crossed this bridge many times.” “Not perfectly.” “But one step at a time.”
Teddy looked down. “I don’t think I can.”
“You don’t have to know every step,” said Muddy Paws. “You only need the next one.”
What should Teddy and Muddy Paws do?
You chose to turn back. Teddy stepped away from the ropes and sat down in the grass. The canyon felt very wide. The far side felt very far.
Muddy Paws sat down beside him. He didn’t rush. He didn’t push. “It’s alright to be scared,” he said.
After a while, Teddy looked up. “Piper said she never crossed it perfectly.” Muddy Paws nodded. “Not once.”
Teddy stood up and put one paw on the rope. “Then maybe I don’t have to either.”
You chose to take one careful step! Teddy lifted his paw. He set it down on the first wooden plank.
The bridge swayed. Teddy’s knees shook. He almost stopped.
Then Piper called, “You’re doing it!”
Not because Teddy was fast. Not because Teddy was perfect. Because Teddy kept going.
Soon… one step became another. Until Teddy reached the other side. “I wasn’t fearless.” “I was brave.”
Muddy Paws grinned. “Confidence doesn’t grow before you try.” “It grows while you try.”
Big courage begins with one small step.

In Confidence Canyon, Teddy and Muddy Paws learned that trying is not the same as being perfect — and that courage grows while you are still wobbling. Just ahead, the Generosity Gardens are blooming, where a little rabbit is holding a very small bag of seeds.
